About
Born and raised in Malibu, Rachel Gray is a Los Angeles-based boudoir, portrait, and lifestyle photographer known for her rare ability to “conjure vulnerability without imposition.” With over 15 years behind the camera, Rachel creates intimate, emotionally resonant imagery rooted in connection, presence, and the quiet power of how we inhabit our bodies.
Her relationship with photography began in high school through black-and-white analog film (the OG magic), and evolved into a lifelong artistic practice. Rachel earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) in Photography from the University of Washington, where she explored conceptual, documentary, performance, and immersive storytelling—building the fine-art foundation that continues to shape her work today.
Rachel’s work is informed not only by artistry, but by a deep understanding of people. Before fully dedicating herself to photography, she made significant contributions within the entertainment industry, including spearheading Netflix’s first sustainable production program across the U.S. and Canada—reducing waste while addressing food insecurity. Today, alongside her photography practice, Rachel serves as an instructor at the Los Angeles Center of Photography, where she is passionate about mentorship, education, and cultivating meaningful creative growth.
Internationally recognized, Rachel has collaborated with brands including Tiffany, Netflix, and Time Magazine, yet her deepest passion lies in creating photographs that feel profoundly personal. Her approach to boudoir is grounded in sensitivity, depth, and play—an experience that is collaborative, empowering, and guided entirely by each client’s comfort.
Rachel’s boudoir sessions are designed to reveal more than beauty; they honor inner landscape, resilience, sensuality, and selfhood. The result is imagery that feels honest, artful, and timeless—photographs created not just to be seen, but to be felt for a lifetime.
